07/25/2024 12:03 PMPhilip A. Flagge Jr., 64, of North Haven, passed away unexpectedly on July 17, 2024. Born in New Haven on June 23, 1960, he was the son of Ethel Millican Flagge and the late Philip A. Flagge Sr.
Philip was a printer, having worked for the former Lehman Brothers for 23 years and later for ABC Printing. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Father James F. Donaher Council #3733 of North Haven, where he served as past grand knight. Philip was also a trumpet player for the North Haven Drum Corps. Philip was an excellent cook and a history buff, enjoyed gardening, antiquing, and photography, and was presented with the New Haven Photography Award. He also was a big animal lover.
He was the brother of Glynis Copperthite (Jim), Eileen Carrieri (Giovanni), Min Ludecke, Maria Henninger (Brian), and George Flagge. He is also survived by nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Philip Flagge Sr.; brother and sister-in-law, Daniel and Martha Flagge; and brother-in-law, Frank Ludecke.
The visiting hours were on July 25 at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home at 36 Washington Avenue. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
