Patricia Montanaro

Patricia A. Montanaro of Branford passed away on July 2, 2024, at the Ark Healthcare Center in Branford. She was the wife of John S. Montanaro of Branford and the mother of Pam Kendrick (Dave) and John Scott Montanaro (Melissa), both of North Branford. She is also survived by her sister, Deborah Catalina of Lakewood, New Jersey, as well as her five grandchildren: Andrew, Jacob, Alyssa, Madison, and Meghan. She is also survived by her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Robert and Rita Montanaro of Parsippany, New York, and many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by her entire family. She was predeceased by her sisters, Catherine Feltz and Caryl Knaus.

Patricia was born in Jersey City, New Jersey, on June 8, 1944, a daughter of Charles and Catherine Lauria Marino. She married John on June 12, 1965, having just celebrated 59 years of marriage. For many years, she was the office manager for Far Eastern Publications at Yale University, a small academic publishing company that never missed a beat while she was in charge. She also worked retail, and many neighbors and friends could find her at the former Cindy’s Hallmark several evenings a week. Whatever Pat did, she did with passion, but her ultimate joy was her family. She remained immensely proud of them, especially her five grandchildren, who will miss her deeply.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 11, at the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford. Burial will follow in Branford Center Cemetery.
