07/11/2024 10:57 AMMarilyn J. Caputo Mooney, 79, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2024, at Yale New Haven Hospital with her family by her side after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of 58 great years to Vincent J. Mooney, Sr.
Marilyn was born in New Haven on June 18, 1945, the daughter of the late George and Julia Fraino Caputo. She worked for the former First National in the Montowese section of North Haven, later for Anthem Blue Cross for 20 years, and for the Town of North Haven Public Works Department until her retirement. Marilyn enjoyed taking her frequent trips to the Mohegan Sun Casino, going to the beach, and playing golf, and she was an avid reader.
Loving mother of Vincent J. Mooney, Jr. and Gary S. Mooney. Proud Nana to her granddaughter Gianna. Also survived by her two loving, adoring godchildren, Juliana and Michael Papelo, and many loving and devoted friends.
