Dianne Perrelli
Dianne G. Perrelli, of North Haven, died peacefully at her home on June 13, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Joseph Perrelli. Dianne was born in Watertown, New York, on Feb. 20, 1953, a daughter of the late Ernest and Goldie Lomax Gonyea.
She worked as a paramedic for 28 years at Hunter’s Ambulance. Her passion and dedication for her work was unmatched. She was proud to be a paramedic and loved helping others. When she wasn’t working, Dianne loved cooking, spending time in her garden and taking frequent trips to Aruba. She loved to decorate her house for every holiday which put a smile on everyone’s face and created lasting memories. She was an animal lover and a big fan of UConn women’s basketball.
Dianne was the loving mother of Kerri-Ann (Earle) Sterling and Katrina (Paige) Perrelli. She doted over her grandchildren, Isabelle and Nicholas Sterling and Ethan Perrelli. She was predeceased by a sister, Denise Gonyea; brothers, James and Richard Locke, William Gonyea, and Ernest Stevens, and a grandson, Matthew Perrelli.
Dianne’s family wishes to thank Dr. Gary Altwerger and his staff, Jamie, Kerri, Nina and Martha, and the staff on the 14th floor of Smilow Cancer Hospital, especially Lily, Gabby, Mary and Eliza who were “Angels from Heaven.”
