Martin Christopher Musket


On June 3, 2024, Martin Christopher “Chris” Musket, 59, a longtime resident of Cornelius, North Carolina, passed away at CT Hospice, Branford, surrounded by his loving family. Husband of Patty (Pornthip Donklang) Musket and father to Yoki (Phuritchaya Donklang) Musket and Mooki (Pimnipa Donklang) Musket. Chris was born in Meriden on April 19, 1965, the son of Martin and Margaret (Abeln) Musket. He is also survived by his siblings, Mark Musket of Hollywood, Maryland, Matthew Musket of Wallingford, Carolyn Musket Helms of Raeford, North Carolina, and Jennifer Musket Kostek of Deep River.

Chris was a 1983 graduate of Guilford High School, where he was co-captain of the basketball team as a senior. He went on to attend Quinnipiac University on a basketball scholarship. Afterward, he served four years in the United States Navy as a radioman (RM3). He continued his passion for information technology by attending Gateway Community and Technical College.

Chris was the owner and president of NC Network Solutions, Inc. and was also Americas Network Administrator for Stabilus, Inc. in Gastonia, North Carolina, For the past five years.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and traveling to Thailand to visit with them as often as possible. He took pride in being physically fit and would run and exercise regularly. He had a great love for his Shelties and would spend a lot of time playing and walking with them. He loved to walk and hike and was an avid Red Sox fan. He loved classic rock, especially Journey.

Friends are invited to calling hours from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 14, at the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church Street, Guilford. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 15, at First Congregational Church, 100 Broad Street, Guilford. Burial services will be held privately.
