Gary Page

Lifelong Stony Creek resident Gary Page passed away on May 31, 2024, surrounded by family and friends. Gary was a gifted carpenter whose talents and knowledge were highly respected by clients and tradesmen all along the shoreline. Gary loved the Thimble Islands and knew them well. A boater since his early teens racing in Stony Creek, Gary’s favorite places were on the water among the islands or hiking in the quarry with his dog, Griffin. Gary loved to fish, clam, and lobster with Steve and hunt in the autumn with Paul. He was happiest outdoors.

Born on July 9, 1954, to Bernard H. And Sally Connors Page, Gary was father to Connor (Tiffany) Page of Clinton, Brendan (Chelsea) Page of Bayfield, CO, and Bridget (Greg) Peters of Ivoryton, all of whom meant the world to him. Besides his children, Gary leaves the lights of his life, his grandchildren, Mila, Elle, Lawson, Wylder, and Welles Page, and Owen and Marley Peters. He also leaves his former wife, Maura, and his siblings, Pam (Ron) Megquire, Jeffrey (Gina) Page, and Jill (Greg) Scoville, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Gary’s wonderful, eclectic group of friends were a tremendous support to him during his battle with cancer, especially his brother Jeff and the Consolo family, and in addition them, the family is so grateful to the doctors and nurses of Smilow and Connecticut Hospice for their warm and patient care and support.

A visitation took place on June 2 at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford, followed by a private service. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Melanoma Foundation, @melanoma.org, in Gary’s honor. For online memorial and guestbook, see www.wsclancy.com.
