Joshua Michael Lupoli Jr.

Joshua Michael Lupoli Jr., more frequently known as “JJ,” passed peacefully in the arms of his loving parents on May 17, 2024. JJ was born on January 8, 2024. JJ was unfortunately born with an extremely rare condition called CDG (congenital disorders of glycosylation). During his four short months here on Earth, he touched so many lives. Not one person who met him did not make a comment about how strong and resilient he was or sometimes how expressive his face was. Most who knew him were very familiar with the “eye rolls” or “furrowed brow” that you would get if you said something he didn’t like, but those who were lucky got to see the adorable smile he had when he was having a great dream.

JJ is the son of Josh and Kat Lupoli of North Haven. His paternal grandparents are John and Wendy Lupoli of North Haven, and his maternal grandparents are Dave and Debbie Lawler of Vernon. We cannot thank the staff at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center enough for everything they did for JJ, as well as us. They treated him and us like family from day one, and while most of his life was unfortunately spent in a hospital, I know he felt like he was home because of all of the staff there.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of the Angels at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 1, 2024, in St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Therese Church, 555 Middletown Ave. North Haven. In lieu of flowers we would be honored to have you support the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, 282 Washington St. Hartford, CT, as they supported us in our time of need, or make donations to the World CDG organization (https://worldcdg.org/donation).
