Theresa Esposito Laudano

Theresa Esposito Laudano, 103, of New Haven, entered eternal rest on April 22, 2024, at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony F. Laudano. Theresa was born in Sorrento, Italy, on March 27, 1921, where she resided until she was 15. Shortly thereafter, she came to the United States to care for her elderly aunt, where she settled in New Haven.

Theresa was employed by the former Robby Len Swimwear, New Haven, as a seamstress for 33 years until her retirement at the age of 75. Besides her love for gardening and the outdoors, Theresa was both a devout catholic and an avid fan of the UConn Huskies women’s basketball. Much of Theresa’s time, if not with her abundance of family, friends, and neighbors, was spent cooking, baking, or enjoying her daily glass (or two) of red wine. Both her smile and laugh were infectious, leaving an indelible impression on all those she met.

Loving mother of Anthony “Lee” Laudano, Lucille Warren (Ret. NHFD Alfred “Gene”), and the late Frank Laudano. Mother-in-law of Sandra Laudano. Cherished grandmother of Christopher Laudano, Jennifer Caso (Gene), Danielle Warren (Kimberly Draghi), and Justin Warren (Deanna). Great-grandmother of Maissa, Nicolas and Caisey Caso, Jenna and Christian Laudano, and Cameron Adams. Predeceased by her granddaughter-in-law Cristina Laudano and all her brothers and sisters in Italy.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Connecticut Hospice for the excellent comfort and care they provided to Theresa.

The visiting hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 25, at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, April 26, in St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Barnabas Church, 44 Washington Avenue, North Haven.
