Michael Richard DelColle
Michael “Mike” Richard DelColle, 90, of Branford, formerly of Northford, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was the devoted husband of 63 years to Mary F. DelColle. He was born on July 21, 1933, and raised in Norwalk, to the late Michael and Jessie DelColle. He was predeceased by his brother, Donald DelColle (Margie). He graduated from Norwalk High School and attended Bridgeport University.
Mike will be deeply missed by his beloved wife; and children, Gary DelColle, Michele Kowolenko (Thomas Rausch), Karen DelColle (Michael Loser), and Stacey Parente (John); and cherished grandchildren, Taylor, Courtney, Allie (Chris), Steven, Abbey, Carley, Ashley and Jason. He is also survived by his sister, Dorothy Landermann (Larry).
Mike began his professional career with the Western Electric Company and was then employed by Eder Brothers as a sales representative for 30 years. Mike’s true passion was real estate, which led him to owning and managing multiple properties with his wife in the West Haven area. Mike enjoyed vacationing with family and friends, being on and near the water, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Mike and Mary were avid fans of the New York Yankees and dedicated followers of UConn women’s basketball. He loved bringing his family and friends together to enjoy beautiful summer days at their shoreline home in Branford. It brought him great joy to make people laugh with his quick wit and irreplaceable humor.
