Kenneth Gamerman
Kenneth Gamerman died on Feb. 8, 2024, at home, surrounded by his wife Martha and their three daughters. He was born in The Bronx on July 5, 1932.
He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Queens College, where he earned a master’s degree in American History. After serving in the U.S. Army, he briefly taught high school history before joining Encyclopedia Britannica, where he developed educational films, including a series on the Bill of Rights that was screened at the U.S. Supreme Court. He went on to found two educational media companies, Media Basics and Nutmeg Media, with Martha.
They moved to Guilford, where he was elected to the town’s Board of Finance seven consecutive times. He dedicated more than 30 years of public service to the community he loved.
Ken is survived by his lifelong love and soulmate, Martha, to whom he was married 65 years; his daughters, Amy, Nancy, and Ellen; his sons-in-law, Kevin Conley and Neil Stewart; and his grandchildren, Max, Sarah, Jack, Gloria, and Joe.
His family loved him dearly.
