Joan C. Schmidt

Joan C. Schmidt, 74, passed away on Jan. 11, 2024. She was born on Nov. 24, 1949, in New Hampshire to the late George and Aili (Takkinen) Curtis.

Joan was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and enjoyed participating in their activities.

Joan is survived by her daughter, Sarah Saroufim, and her husband, Luc; her son, David Schmidt, and his wife, Andrea Nolan-Schmidt; her grandchildren, Jacob, Brenden, Julian, Jazmyne, and Lucca; her brother, Ed Curtis and his wife, Sharon Anderson; and her sister Nancy Curtis and her husband, Bob Banzett.

Family and friends are invited to gather from 4 to 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 19, 2024, at Forastiere Smith Funeral & Cremation, 220 North Main Street, East Longmeadow, Massachusetts.
