Adam Dean Irwin

Adam Dean Irwin passed away peacefully at the young age of 31, on Nov. 1, 2023, after a brief illness. Adam was a force of life, with a resilient and adventurous soul and a larger-than-life, positive aura.

Born in Las Vegas, Nevada, to parents Dean Irwin and Karen Sipler, Adam grew up in Virginia Beach, Virginia; Redmond, Washington; and Guilford, where he graduated from Guilford High School. He attended UMass in Amherst, and settled in Brooklyn, New York, for the past six years.

Adam was a loving brother to Allison Sipler (Jake Beavin) of Louisville, Kentucky, and to Ian and Liza Irwin of Guilford. He was also the loving stepson of Scott Sipler of Louisville, Kentucky, and Leslie Irwin of Guilford. Adam is predeceased by grandparents, Jewell Holly and Ronnie Irwin of Michigan, and James and Katherine Potter of San Bernardino, California. He is survived by Charles Holly and Barbara Irwin of Wayne County, Michigan. In addition, Adam leaves behind many aunts, uncles, and cousins, and dear friends, who will remember his genuine warmth, his funny sarcasm, and the love he shared with those around him.

His passions were steeped in art, design, travel, food, rock-climbing, photography, and an eagerness to discover what life had to offer. He was very creative and deeply thoughtful. He was very easy to talk to and funny, sometimes the saltiest person in the room. His kind-spirited and sharp wit will be remembered and missed by everyone he touched. As we bid farewell to a life taken too soon, we find solace in the memories of Adam that will forever make us smile.

A private family memorial will take place in lieu of a public burial service.
