Yvonne Hoyt
Yvonne Hoyt, 85, of Clinton, wife of the late Earle E. Hoyt, passed away on Nov. 6. Yvonne was born on April 1, 1938, in Gardner, Massachusetts, and was the daughter of Emery and Rena Richard Cormier.
She was a packer at Pepperidge Farms for many years before her retirement, as well as a lunch lady at Pierson School while her children were students there.
Yvonne will be remembered for her infectious giggling, her love of shopping at the Dollar Store, card games with her family, spending time at the casino, chicken parmesan, dark chocolate, and dining at “Fish Fry,” aka Lenny and Joe’s Fish Tale.
She is survived by her three children, Beth Brymer and her husband, John III of Clinton; Maureen Hoyt and her wife, Marlene Hecht of Hyannis, Massachusetts; and Keith Hoyt and his wife, Erica of Old Lyme. Yvonne is also survived by four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Calling hours were on Nov. 12 at the Swan Funeral Home, 80 East Main Street, Clinton. A private burial was held at the State Veterans Cemetery in Middletown, where she was laid to rest next to her husband, Earle.
