Patricia Cucinotta

Patricia M. “Pat” Cucinotta of Branford died unexpectedly on Nov. 9 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. She was the beloved wife of John A. Cucinotta. Patricia was born April 11, 1945, in Boston, the daughter of the late Thomas and Katherine Nolan Kelly.

She lived in Needham, Massachusetts, for 38 years and had worked as an executive assistant for PerkinElmer in Wellesley, Massachusetts, for many years until retiring and moving to Branford to be closer to her son and his family.

Besides her husband, Patricia is survived by her children, John A. Cucinotta and his wife Courtney Cucinotta of North Branford, and Joanne Cucinotta of Vergennes, Vermont; her grandchildren: Sally, Jackson, Amyrah, and Elias; and her siblings: Eileen Chase, Mary Kyne, Ann Johnson, John Kelly, and Frank Kelly. She was predeceased by her siblings, Margaret Kehoe, James Kelly, and Katherine Ego.

Pat was loved by all who knew her. She was a force on the pickleball and tennis courts and volunteered with local children as a cursive writing mentor and pen pal. Her friends and family enjoyed her delicious cooking and quick wit. She was always up for dining out or a dinner party with friends, dressed to the nines either way. Her grandchildren were one of her greatest joys, and she treasured every moment they spent together. She will be missed fiercely by her family and the greater community.

Pat loved to read, and so in lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to The Blackstone Library in Branford.
