Eufemia Marquez

Eufemia Marquez of Branford died Sept. 26 at Mid-State Medical Center in Meriden. She was the beloved wife of the late Luis Marquez. Eufemia was born in Lima, Peru, on Sept. 3, 1929, a daughter of the late Donato and Mery Salinas.

She was a loving, caring, empathetic, and very dedicated mother to her children: Katya, Eugenia, Cesar, Emilio, Carlos and Alonso Marquez, Maria Werhle and Gabriela Norton, and the late Luis Marquez. She is also survived by her 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends were invited to visiting hours on Sept. 29 at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford. A Mass of Christian burial was on Sept. 30 at St. John Bosco Parish in St. Mary Church, 731 Main Street, Branford. Burial followed in Branford Center Cemetery.
