Marlene J. Novak
Marlene J. Novak of Clinton, formerly of Killingworth, passed away on June 26 with her loving sister and brother-in-law, Lana and Jim Costeines by her side. Known as “Lee” by close friends and family, she was predeceased by her devoted husband, Robert F. Novak. Lee was born in New York City on Sept. 3, 1942, and worked as a bookkeeper for over 25 years at Atlantic Bank, New York City. In retirement, she found her passion as a loving caregiver helping to raise many children who became family.
She was predeceased by her parents, Michael and Aurelia Brenyo; brother David M. Brenyo; and nephew David D. Brenyo. She is survived by many family members, including sisters and nieces/nephews. She will be especially missed by those closest to her: Lana and Jim Costeines, Michael and Lisa Brenyo, James and Megan Maraday, Michael Costeines, Abbey Butler, and her furbaby, Bo Jangles. Her family and close circle of friends will miss her humor, good heart, and feisty spirit.
