Kenneth P. Muro

Kenneth P. “Ken” Muro, 62, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on July 3 at Yale-New Haven Hospital with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Sharon Guglielmo Muro. Ken was born in New Haven on Feb. 27, 1961, the son of the late Anthony Muro Jr. and Jeanette Lubrano Muro.

A 1980 graduate of North Haven High School, he later served as a Specialist in the Connecticut National Guard from 1982 to 1988. Ken worked for the North Haven Public Works Department for over 30 years until his retirement.

He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, listening to music, tinkering with motors, and, lately, gardening around his house. Ken was an animal lover, especially his cats.

He was the brother of Eugene Muro and his twin Richard Muro (Susan); brother-in-law of Richard Guglielmo (Barbara) and Diane Gugielmo and the late Gary Guglielmo; uncle of Michael Muro, Richie Guglielmo (Ariana), Michael, Gary, and Thomas Guglielmo.

The visiting hours were on July 9 at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on July 10 in St. Paul VI Parish/Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Hamden. Interment followed in All Saints Cemetery. www.northhavenfuneral.com
