Connie Melillo Pinto
Connie Melillo Pinto, 81, of Cheshire, formerly of North Haven for many years, passed away peacefully on July 11 at the MidState Medical Center, Meriden, after a short illness. She was the beloved wife of the late John J. Pinto.
Connie was born in New Haven on Feb. 6, 1942, the daughter of the late Dominic A. Melillo, Sr. and Lena Meneo Melillo. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Endicott College in Beverly, Massachusetts. Connie had worked as an assistant to Dr. Frank Castiglione for 10 years. She enjoyed games, playing cards, and Mah Jongh.
Sister of Fred (Joan) Melillo, Barbara (Andrew) Alberino and Dominic Melillo, Jr. Sister-in-law of Frank (Joann) Pinto. Also survived by several loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, friends, and extended family. She will be sorely missed.
Family and friends were invited to go to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church/St. Paul VI Parish, 2819 Whitney Avenue, Hamden, on July 13, to attend a Mass of Christian burial and were also invited to attend the committal service immediately following in the All Saints Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101.
