07/06/2023 03:03 PMJulie A. Petriccione Matteis, 83, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on June 30 at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford, with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony O. Matteis. Julie was born in New Haven on Jan. 10, 1940, and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Ferretti Petriccione.
She was a factory worker for K&H Containers for many years. Julie was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and watched games frequently. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren, whom she loved unconditionally.
She was the beloved mother of John (Sallyann) Matteis and Annarose (Paul Sr.) Ferrucci; loving grandmother of Paul (Kate) Ferrucci Jr., Michael Matteis, Joyce (Stephen) Middagh, Julie Ferrucci, and Christopher Matteis; great-grandmother of Harrison Ferrucci and Mariana Middagh; sister of Luke and Sylvia Petriccione and the late Susan Proto.
The visiting hour was on July 6, at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 57 Pond Hill Road, North Haven.
