Herbert L. Kochis Jr.

Herbert L. Kochis Jr., 63, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on June 19 at his home with his family by his side after a long courageous fight with an illness. He was born in New Haven on March 14, 1960, and was the son of Anne Russell Kochis and the late Herbert L. Kochis Sr.

Herbert was a member of the Wallingford Elks Lodge #1365. He enjoyed boating, fishing, his mom’s delicious cooking, and listening to Willie Nelson music. He was the beloved brother of Katherine Russell and her husband, John Gumkowski, and the loving uncle of Alex Gumkowski. Herbert’s family would like to extend a special thank you to his caregivers, Andrea Broadnax and Christopher Girdley, for their endless care and compassion over the years.
