William Nelson Zesner Jr.
William Nelson Zesner Jr. of Deep River was born on Sept. 16, 1967, to William and Kathleen Zesner. Also known as Bill, William died of stage 4 cancer and heart failure at his mother’s home in Deep River on March 25. William is survived by his mother, Kathleen Mook; his father, William Zesner Sr.; his sister, Donna Mook; his uncle, Richard Zesner; and his niece, Kaela Mook. William is also survived by his wife, Sharon, who stood beside him for 33 years. William is also survived by his son Timothy; Tim’s wife Rachel; and their daughter Lily; as well as daughters Stephine, Heather, Marie, and Carly and sons Willie and Walter.
Working for Advanced Office out of Branford and raising eight children of their own, Bill spent 17 years working with 43 New Haven Schools. He handled networking, Internet access, and setting up hundreds of laptops for students. He cared about the students, hoping they would use the available tools to succeed. Students could work from home as well as at school.
There will be a Memorial Service for William at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 8, at Deep River Congregational Church.
