06/22/2023 02:02 PMRobert DeAngelo, 81, of North Haven, passed away on June 15, 2023, with family by his side.
Robert was born and raised in New Haven and was a graduate of Wilbur Cross High School, Class of ‘59. He was a long-time employee and retiree of Armstrong Rubber/Pirelli Tire, formerly of West Haven/New Haven.
Robert was the son of the late Anthony and Edith (Ferrioulo) DeAngelo. He was the father of Anthony (Cathy) DeAngelo of Killingworth, Roberta (Daniel) Mallico of North Haven, Joseph (Emma) DeAngelo of Ledyard, and Michael (Juliana) DeAngelo of Round Rock, Texas. He was predeceased by his brother Anthony DeAngelo, and leaves behind his brother Stephen (Elayne) DeAngelo of Branford; nephews, Stephen (Jessica) DeAngelo and Marc (Anna) DeAngelo; as well as former spouse Patricia DeAngelo, companion Paula DeFeo; and many cousins. Robert was the grandfather of Daniel Mallico, Sophia Mallico, Adrianna Mallico, Isabel DeAngelo, and Anthony DeAngelo, and was excited to welcome his new granddaughter, Summer DeAngelo, in August.
Family and friends called on June 21 at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Barnabas Church, 44 Washington Avenue. Interment followed in St. Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven. www.northhavenfuneral.com.
