June S. O’Brien

June S. O’Brien, formerly of Old Saybrook and Essex, passed away peacefully at Bayview Convalescent Home in Waterford on May 29. She was born in Middletown, on May 31, 1933, to the late Robert and Marion Martin Sadler.

She was employed at Scholes and as a secretary at Bombazi’s in Essex.

June enjoyed traveling, especially to Maine and San Francisco. She was an avid reader, a great cook, and enjoyed crossword puzzles. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by two children, Lynn (Jerry) Gualazzi of Ivoryton and Mike (Gina) O’Brien of Old Saybrook; three sisters, Nancy McGuerty, and Joan (Donald) Long of Sandwich, Massachusetts, and Karen Wellman of New Haven; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by one son, Daniel J. O’Brien.
