Dominic Vincent Barba

Dominic Vincent Barba, 79, of Old Saybrook, passed away unexpectedly April 9 with his family by his side. He was a beloved Husband, Father, and Friend. Dominic was born Feb. 29, 1944, to the late Dominic and Mary (Donofrio) Barba in New Haven. He grew up in Branford.

Dominic married the love of his life, Luella Barba, 59 years ago, and they made their home in Old Saybrook. Dominic was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandpa who cherished time spent with his family. Along with raising their children, he was proud to have 22 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Luella, he is survived and will be dearly missed by his six children, Rhonda (Jim), Shawn, Shelly (John), Dominic (Mary), Blake (Lori), and Paige (Eric). He will be further missed by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Dominic was predeceased by his granddaughter Isabella Rose, his sisters Marylou, Bella Rose, Philomena, and Delores, and his brother David.
