Jack Schneider
Retired police lieutenant Jack “Sudsy” Schneider, age 82, of Westbrook, passed away on April 26. Jack was born in Madison and graduated from Hand High School in 1958.
He served six years in the U.S.M.C. and 26 years in the Connecticut State Police at Troop E and the Capitol. After his retirement, he spent nine years as a special deputy sheriff at Middlesex Superior Court. Jack received his bachelor’s degree in science from the University of New Haven in 1978.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Jennifer Schneider. He is survived by his son William (Jill) Schneider; and his daughter Elizabeth (Gabe) Keirstead; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; neighborhood friends; and his beloved dog Trooper.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 19, at the State Veterans Cemetery in Middletown. Memorial donations may be made to Psalm 112 Ministries Inc., 127 E. General Screven Way, Hinesville, GA 31313.
