Ann Marie Nobile
Ann Marie Nobile, 90, of East Haven, entered into rest on April 21 at Branford Hills Health Care Center. She was the wife of the late Alphonse “Fritz” Nobile for 42 years. Ann Marie was born in New Haven on May 10, 1932, daughter of the late George and Florence Riccio Errichiello and was a lifetime resident of East Haven. She was the loving mother of Georgianne Nobile and Marianne (Richard) Cesare. She was the proudest grandmother, “Meena” to Jared and Amanda Cesare, whom she called the lights of her life. She was the loving sister to Joan Melillo, aunt to her favorite niece Nancy Melillo, and lifelong friend Maria Acampora. She adored her son-in-law Richard whom she considered a son. She was predeceased by her nephew Ralph Melillo; and grandson Michael Richard Cesare.
Ann Marie’s family were the proud owners of Automatic Heat and Fuel. After her retirement, she worked as a lunch mother at DC Moore School for 18 years, where all the students called her “Annie.” Her passions were the New York Yankees and Dallas Cowboys, reading her books, and making people laugh, even until the end of her life. She was known as “Auntie Re” to all the neighborhood kids.
A special thanks to Erin Hillis, PA, and Jill Siladi, PCNP of Branford Hills for all their support during a very difficult time.
All services will be private. Any donations can be made to www.als.org in memory of Ralph Melillo. East Haven Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with her care. Please visit www.easthavenmemorial.com to leave a message of condolence for Ann Marie’s family.
