David A. Mahaney
On April 5, David A. Mahaney, 73, a longtime resident of Guilford and most recently of Bridgeport, passed away at his home. David was born in New Haven on Aug. 23, 1949, the son of the late William P. Mahaney and Hazel (Bogart) Mahaney. He is survived by his siblings, Mark Mahaney of Guilford, Kathy Hurley of East Haven, Wendy Nelson of Mississippi, Robert Mahaney of Vermont, Joyce Gonzalez of Florida, and Sandra Nenninger of Meriden. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Lee Cartagana and Virginia Rodriguez, and a brother, William Mahaney.
As a young man, David had worked for Benton Supermarket in Guilford for several years and was a graduate of Guilford High School. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Before retirement, he had worked as a housing supervisor for the Department of Veteran Affairs.
Friends are invited to a graveside service at 10 a.m. on April 12 at Alder Brook Cemetery, 375 Boston Street, Guilford.
