Rose Blasiak
Rose Blasiak, 77, of East Haven, passed away March 23 at the St. Raphael Campus of Yale New Haven Hospital. She was born July 27, 1945, in New Haven, to Marian and Frances (Orzolek) Blasiak.
Rose is survived by her loving and devoted daughter, Trina Izaguirre (Francisco) of East Haven; and two grandchildren whom she adored, Jacob and Lucien Izaguirre; along with one sister, Helen Lewandoski (Edward) of North Haven; and numerous nieces and nephews. Rose is preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, John Blasiak and Joseph Blasiak.
Rose graduated from East Haven High School in 1965. She retired from Pratt & Whitney in North Haven in 2000, where she worked for over 20 years. Before that, she worked at Marlin Firearms in North Haven.
In her spare time, she loved knitting, crocheting, and making blankets for everyone she knew and baby hats, which she donated to the hospitals. She also enjoyed gardening, especially with her parents. For the last four years, she lived at Montowese Health & Rehab where she made many friends and will be missed.
Family and friends are invited to meet and attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 30, in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 9 Eld Street, New Haven, with burial to follow at All Saints Cemetery in North Haven. All services are under the care of the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home), East Haven.
