Gerald Normand Guay ‘Jerry’
Gerald Normand Guay “Jerry” passed away peacefully on Feb. 25 with his family at his side. Jerry was born in Fall River, Massachusetts, the son of the late Germaine Levesque Guay and Normand Guay.
He is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Correia of Newburgh, Indiana, and Michelle Parenteau (husband Timothy) of Newport, New Hampshire; his brother Roger Guay of Branford and sister Nancy Cervoni of Wallingford. He is also survived by eight beloved grandchildren: Laura, Mark, Scott, Matthew, Kelly, Christopher, Michael, and Melissa; and nine beloved great-grandchildren: MacKenzie, Madelyn, Conor, Lachlin, Jayden, Dominic, Gabriel, Lillyana, and Ralphie, and his favorite granddog Ben. He was predeceased by his loving son Keith Guay; his son-in-law John Correia; and granddaughter Stephanie.
Jerry served in the United States Army. He worked for United Parcel Service for 32 years and made many good friends in Branford before retiring. He loved to spend his time traveling. He would stop at as many baseball fields as he could. He was an avid sports fan, and he loved the Boston Red Sox. He will surely be missed by many.
Friends were invited to a memorial visitation on March 1 at the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main St. Branford. A memorial service was held on March 2, in the funeral home, with the burial of his urn following at St. Agnes Cemetery in Branford.
