Charles M. Christoforo, Sr.
Charles M. Christoforo, Sr., 90, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Feb. 26 at the MidState Medical Center, Meriden, with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of 62 years to the late Bridget B. Cappello Christoforo. Charlie was born in New Haven on Nov. 26, 1932, the son of the late Michael and Rose Valentino Christoforo.
A passion for farming, Charlie was the owner/operator of Christoforo Farms for many years. He enjoyed playing cards with the men in his family (usually always winning), playing and studying the stock market, and always keeping up with the current political events. Most of all, Charlie enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who he loved unconditionally.

Mineri III (Jennifer), Joseph Mineri (Milena), Christopher Mineri (Kristy), Anthony Carbone, Jr. (Jessica), Stephen Carbone (Linsey), Michael Carbone (who was always by his side), Christina Carbone, and Charles M. Christoforo III. Big Poppy of Louis E. Mineri IV, Biagio Mineri, Filomena Mineri, Giada Mineri, Cristiano and Chloe Mineri, Vienna Rose Mineri and Anthony Carbone III. Stepgrandfather of Gianni and Juliana DeMartino. He is also survived by his former son-in-law Louis E. Mineri, Jr.; his loving and devoted caregivers, Florinda and Miguel Diaz; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his sisters, Rose Migliaro, Philomena Abbatello, Mary Simiola, Josephine Cuseo, Nancy Cuseo, Lucy Buonopane; and brothers, Frank, John, Salvatore, Pasquale, Matteo, Michael, and Anthony Christoforo.
The visiting hours were on March 1 at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. Family and friends were invited to go directly to St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Therese Church, 555 Middletown Avenue, North Haven, on March 2, to attend a Mass of Christian burial and were also invited to attend the committal service immediately following in All Saints Cemetery.
