James J. Lianos
James J. Lianos, 74, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Feb. 10, at Yale New Haven Hospital, with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of 46 years to Linda Tokarczyk Lianos. James was born in New Haven on June 12, 1948, and was the son of the late George and Eleanor McCluskey Lianos.
He served his country faithfully in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam era. James earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Central Connecticut State University and worked for Covidien for many years until his retirement. James was the owner/operator of the Tick Tock Clock Shop, North Haven. He was an avid reader, a New York Giants fan, and enjoyed working on clocks.
He was the father of Michael J. Lianos (Kerry) and Kristie Kohlhepp (Jared); grandfather of Reagan, Quinn, and Paige Lianos, Connor, Chloe, and Caroline Kohlhepp; brother of Joann Slocombe (Grady), Thomas Lianos, Jacqueline Smith and Richard Lianos (Jacqueline). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The visiting hours were on Feb. 15, at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A service was in the funeral home. Interment with full military honors followed in All Saints Cemetery.
