Joseph Anthony Libretti
Joseph Anthony Libretti, 33, of East Haven passed away unexpectedly Jan. 5. Joseph was born Feb. 3, 1989, in New Haven, a son of loving parents, Nicholas and Lisa (Turcio) Libretti.
Joseph attended Gateway Community College where he earned an associates degree and was given the president’s award for his various academic achievements. Joseph later went on to graduate from Southern Connecticut State University where he made the dean’s list and received a bachelor’s degree in accounting. At the time of his death, he was employed by Libretti and Son Fuel.
Joseph was a kind, loving soul who loved his family dearly and was loved back immensely. In addition to his parents, he is survived by sisters, Cara Libretti (Joshua Bethke), Nikki Libretti; his five nieces and nephews, Lillian, Nicholas, Michael, Dominic, and Layla whom he adored more than anything. He is also survived by his grandparents, Henry “Chico” and Olivia (Goglia) Turcio and Joseph and Philomena (Palange) Libretti; and his many aunts, uncles and cousins who will miss his laughter and larger-than-life energy.
Family received friends on Jan. 10, at the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. All were invited to meet and attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Jan. 11, in St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at the Church of St. Vincent de Paul, 80 Taylor Ave., East Haven. Committal followed at East Lawn Cemetery, East Haven.
