01/05/2023 10:38 AMJames E. Morris of Branford died on Dec. 20 at the V.A. Medical Center in West Haven. He was the husband of Barbara Brada Morris. James was born March 6, 1947, in New Haven, son of the late Eliott “Hank” and Irene Massey Morris.
He served as a Sergeant in U.S. Army, during the Vietnam War. James was the co-owner of Aronson’s Service Center, A&M Convenience and Professional Auto Wash. James assisted BESB operating Pops Concession Stand and Camp Store at Hammonasset and Rocky Neck State Parks. He was a member of American Legion Post 83 in Branford.
Besides Barbara, James is survived by his children, William E. Morris (Beth Mana) of Clinton, Kimberly (David) Otto of East Haven and Bryan S. (Elissa) Morris of Clinton; his grandchildren, Dylan, Savannah, Christopher, Daniel, Gabrielle, Madison, Vanessa, and Caroline; his sister, Judith (Rick) Green of Clinton and was predeceased by his niece Deborah Forbes.
Visiting hours were on Jan. 3 at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford. A graveside service, with military honors, was on Jan. 4, in St. Agnes Cemetery, Branford.
