12/15/2022 12:50 PMMark A. Lagasse, 58, much-loved and only son to Donald and Claudette Lagasse, passed away on Dec. 6 in Killingworth. Mark was born on April 26, 1964, in Skowhegan, Maine.
Mark graduated from Vinal Technical High School and worked for Post Road Wood Products for 15 years as a Master Carpenter. With help from many friends, Mark built his own home in Killingworth. Because of physical limitations, Mark left carpentry and has been employed by Whelen Engineering for the past 20 years.
He is survived by loving parents, Donald and Claudette Lagasse; and sisters, Daphne Lagasse and partner Steve Jack, Dorothy DeCaprio (Joseph), and Marie Statoulas (Michael). He also leaves his much-loved nieces Emma and Kaleigh DeCaprio, and nephew, Jacob Statoulas. He will be missed by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, plus wonderful friends that stuck with Mark through thick and thin, especially John and Richard Bauer. We will remember Mark’s smile, big hugs, kind nature, and love of family gatherings.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated for Mark at noon Saturday, Dec. 17, at St. Lawrence Church, 7 Hemlock Drive, Killingworth. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Green Hill Road, Killingworth.
