Denise Marie Crimm
Denise Marie Crimm, age 70, of Old Saybrook passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving son and daughter on Tuesday morning, Nov. 29 at her residence. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert C. Crimm who predeceased her on April 14, 2017. She was born in Hartford the daughter of the late Lorenzo D. Lavallee and Edith H. Pashby.
Denise had been a resident of Old Saybrook since 1992 and was formerly of Bristol. Denise and Bob were high school sweethearts and married in West Hartford on July 25, 1970. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant working in many phases of healthcare including hospice and Alzheimer’s care. Denise also worked in support of Bob in his Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machine repair business and she always made time to care for her neighbors.
Denise loved her family and her home and enjoyed creating and tending her flower gardens, and keeping her home well decorated. She also loved to sing and dance and was an artist working in different mediums. She loved traveling, and enjoyed her many trips to New York City where she attended many Broadway Shows. Denise was a fabulous cook and did enjoy many wonderful restaurants as well. She had a great love of animals and also a great book.
She will forever be remembered as a most beautiful women both inside and out. Being of great strength and courage, always lots of fun and seeing the positive with kindness and lovingness.
She is survived by her son, Robert Crimm of Palmer, Massachusetts.; her daughter, Darlene Crimm of Old Saybrook; and her sister-in-law, Shirley Crimm of Southington. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her mother-in-law Jeanette Valley.
A funeral service will not be held. Memorial contributions may be made in Denise’s name to the Connecticut Humane Society, 169 Old Colchester Rd, Quaker Hill, CT 06375.
