Beverly T. Rice

Beverly T. Rice, 79, of Martinsville, Virginia, and formerly of Connecticut, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Nov. 5 at Blue Ridge Therapy Connection, in Stuart, Virginia. Beverly was born on Feb. 6, 1943 in Connecticut to the late Douglas Thomas and Edna Mulcare Thomas. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Thomas.

Beverly became a truck driver where she later purchased her own and became the owner of the trucking company. Beverly was a precious “jewel” to her family and will greatly be missed!

Beverly is survived by her daughter Christine Martin; son John T. Rice; and grandchildren, Joshua Martin and Wesley Martin. She is also survived by a brother and sister, Robert Thomas, and Geraldine Chapman.

There are no services scheduled at this time. Services will be held in Connecticut, at a later date. The family wishes to thank Mountain Valley Hospice.
