11/04/2022 09:50 AMGerard “Jerry” Dorflinger, 76, passed away peacefully on Oct. 18. Jerry was born and raised in New York, and he moved to Connecticut in 1987. He graduated from Sewanhaka High School with several of his life-long friends. Jerry served four years in the Navy before working for AT&T for 47 years. During his early retirement, he enjoyed traveling and driving his All-American Ford Mustang. In his spare time, Jerry loved to watch football and baseball, and anyone who has ever had a conversation with Jerry knows his favorite teams were the Jets and the Mets.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sophie and Peter; his brother Gus; and his son Christian. He is survived by his daughters, Jill and Cassie; and his granddaughter June.
Jerry’s family is eternally grateful for Kofi Nsakie, who helped Jerry live with dignity during his last few years.
