Charlene J. Apuzzo
Charlene J. Apuzzo of Branford passed away peacefully at her home Oct. 24. Charlene was born June 1, 1950, in New Haven, daughter of the late Carmel Apuzzo. She had worked as a records supervisor for the State of Connecticut, first in the Department of Corrections and then in the Department of Motor Vehicles, from where she retired.
Charlene leaves behind a legacy of love, her daughter Angelina and son-in-law Steven Brown of Stirling, New Jersey; her amazing grandchildren, Samantha and Zachary; her sister Marie Segui of Branford, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Gilbert Apuzzo and her sisters, Josephine Cox, Eva Cretella, and Frances McNamara. Charlene leaves behind many lifelong friends who were also family to her.
Her funeral left the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford, Oct. 27, for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John Bosco Parish at St. Mary Church, 731 Main Street, Branford. Burial followed in St. Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven. For online memorial see www.wsclancy.com.
