Daniel B. Lirette
Daniel B. “Dan” Lirette of North Branford, passed away peacefully on Oct. 6 at Connecticut Hospice. He was the beloved husband for 29 years to Theresa Lirette (Cellini). Dan was born on Jan. 22, 1966, son of Ola Lirette of Branford and the late Rena Lirette (Albert).
Besides his wife and father, he is survived by two children, Marshall Lirette and Michael Lirette (Paris); his brother Brian Lirette (Danielle Abel); and Cassidy niece/goddaughter. Dan was very much looking forward to becoming a grandfather in December. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law, nephews and cousins on his wife’s side and many friends. He also leaves behind his dog Bella who adored him.
Dan worked as an electrician for Metro North Railroad, his most recent position was vice chairman for IBEW System Council 7. Dan also loved his work family, traveling on many conventions with them.
Dan’s best times were spent on the many family camping trips grilling steaks for everyone and making an awesome campfire. He also loved watching movies with his family and simply spending time with them. Every spring he enjoyed planting a garden and harvesting fresh vegetables. Dan loved music; playing the guitar was his greatest talent. He played in a rock band in his 20s and most recently played guitar with his friends on Sundays. His witty, humorous personality will be missed by all who knew him.
Visitation was on Oct. 13, at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Oct. 14, in St. John Bosco Parish at St. Mary Church, 731 Main Street, Branford. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery.
