Francis J. Wnek

Francis J. Wnek of North Branford died Sept. 28 at his home. He was the beloved husband of Joan Kulack Wnek. Frank was born July 30, 1939 in New Haven, son of the late Frank and Helen Kondrat Wnek. He worked for many years in the automotive industry, and he retired as an Inspector at Firelite in North Haven.

Besides Joan, he is survived by his children, Deborah (Matthew) Thomas of Madison, Daniel Wnek, and Diana Guthrie, both of Cumming, Georgia; his grandchildren, Maddison and Mia Thomas, Ryan and Jake Wnek, and Olivia, Sophia, and Brock Guthrie. He is also survived by his brother Robert Wnek of Prospect.

Funeral services were at W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford,on Oct. 6, and a Mass of Christian burial folllowed at St. Ambrose Parish at St. Augustine Church, 30 Caputo Road, North Branford. Burial followed in St. Agnes Cemetery, Branford.
