Steven Mark Wahle
Steven Mark Wahle, age 76, of Old Saybrook, died Sept. 24. “Mark,” as he was known, was born June 3, 1946, the son of Theodore and Doris Wahle of Clinton.
He was a graduate of Morgan High School and attended the University of Connecticut. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves. He was a career salesman with several companies in the United States, Saudi Arabia, and elsewhere. He was awarded Salesman of the Year in 2003 from Summit Handling Systems.
His loves were family, friends, pets, golf, and boating.
Mark is survived by his sisters, Judith Radcliffe of Old Saybrook, and Lisa Wahle of Chester; Lisa’s husband Peter Auster; nieces, Julie Bjorkman and Mia Radcliffe; nephew Allyn Foss and his wife Lisa; four grand-nieces and nephews: Emma and AJ Foss, and Hanna and Brett Bjorkman, and godson Ryan Toal. He was predeceased by his parents and older brother Teddy.
Calling hours will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. this Friday, Sept. 30, at Swan Funeral Home, Clinton, followed by a short service. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, at Beaver Brook Cemetery, Rte. 145, Clinton. To sign the online guest book, visit www.swanfh.com.
