Judith Ann (Kleinkauf) Zalewski
Judith Ann Zalewski passed away peacefully July 23. She was born April 10, 1942 to the late Lewis and Mildred Bishop Kleinkauf in Madison. Judy grew up in Guilford, graduated from Guilford High School in 1960, and married her high school sweetheart, Zigmunt Zalewski, on Oct. 7, 1961. Zig and Judy have been living in North Guilford for the past 60 years. Judy was a compassionate CNA at Apple Rehab in Guilford for 31 years until her retirement.
Besides her husband, Judy leaves behind her daughters, Tami Kniffin (Brian) of Wallingford, and Lisa Zalewski of South Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; her brother Lewis “Ralph” Kleinkauf of Branford; and her grandchildren, Kimberly and Raymond Kniffin. She also leaves behind nieces and nephews and many cousins. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her granddaughter Kristina Kniffin; her brother Richard Kleinkauf; and her sister-in-law Judith Zalewski Tasto.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Branford Hills Health Care, especially the caregivers on BH3, for all their compassion and loving care of Judith.
Services will be held privately.
