Gregory Gauvin

Gregory Gauvin of Branford passed away on Friday, July 8 at his home in Branford.

He was the son of Gilbert and Deborah Gauvin of Branford and the brother of Jay Gauvin of Branford. He is also survived by his grandmother Julia Malewski; his aunt Susan Barba; his uncle Raymond Malewski (Diane); and his great-aunt Joanne Morgan (James); as well as several cousins and friends.

Greg was born in New Haven on Sept. 25, 1985. He received his master’s degree in Music from University of Connecticut and was an accomplished musician. He was also a welder and diver for the Atlantic Diving & Welding Company. He was a volunteer fireman for the Stony Creek Fire Company and Marine 5 Rescue.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on July 14, at St. George Church in Guilford. Burial will follow at St. Agnes Cemetery in Branford. Friends called on July 13, at the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main St. Branford. Please see his online memorial at www.wsclancy.com.
