Louis E. St. George, Jr., 84, of North Haven passed away peacefully on April 30, with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of 64 years to Mary Wade St. George. Louis was born in New Haven Aug. 13, 1937, the son of the late Louis E. St. George, Sr., and Elizabeth Green St. George. He was a graduate of North Haven High School’s first graduating class in 1955, attended Quinnipiac College, and had worked for John Hancock Insurance for many years until his retirement.
Louis was the first grand master for the North Haven DeMolay and a member of the Harugari Society, West Haven and the Mayflower Society, North Haven. Louie’s greatest enjoyment was being with his wife, children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, whom he loved unconditionally. Louie especially loved being his grandchildren’s personal chauffeur.
He was the father of Donna St. George, Louis St. George III, and Edward St. George; grandfather of Alexandria St. George-Monges (Russ), Eric St. George,and Juliette St. George; great-grandfather of Cosette Monges; and brother of Sandra Stetson and the late Paul Stetson.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 5, in the Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
