Joan E. (Williams) Walsh, 92, of East Haven passed away on Jan. 30 at Yale New Haven Hospital. She was born Dec. 21, 1929, in East Haven to Luke and Mary Elizabeth (Bauroth) Williams.
As a lifelong resident of East Haven, Joan enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles, and spending time with her ever-growing family.
She is survived by her children Barbara Gamache (Wayne) of Wallingford, Deborah Cozzi (Joseph) of Florida, Karen Hausman (Brent) of East Haven, and Joseph Walsh (Jerri) of South Carolina and her brother Richard Williams of Wallingford. She had 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren (with two more on the way).
Joan was predeceased by her parents; husband William Walsh (1979); her three brothers, Harold Williams, Charles Williams, and Robert Williams; two sisters, Anne Bunnell, Francis Pascarella; and her partner in crime and sister-in-law Patricia Williams Fisher.
Mask wearing family and friends are invited to meet and attend a Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 3 in St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at the Church of St. Vincent de Paul, 80 Taylor Avenue, East Haven with private burial to follow at All Saints Cemetery. All services are under the care of the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Avenue, East Haven.
