Gloria (Mim) A. Pino Lesage, 96, of North Haven passed away peacefully on Jan. 20 at her home, with her family by her side. She was married to the love of her life for 49 years, the late Conrad Lesage, whom she met while he was in the U.S. Navy in Groton when she was attending nursing school in Willimantic. Gloria was born in New Haven on Aug. 13, 1925, the daughter of the late Leon and Carmel Imperoti Pino.
Gloria was a licensed practical nurse for the Hospital of St. Raphael’s for many years. She enjoyed playing bingo, pinochle, Wii bowling, and frequent trips to the casino. She lived the last 15 years at Stevens Woods surrounded by many friends and acquaintances with whom she loved to spend time. Gloria was very active in her community and has touched many lives in her 96 years. She loved everyone and would give them the shirt off her back. Gloria prided herself on her love of family and their love in return. She was a devout Catholic and caregiver to all.
She was the mother of Bruce Lesage (Doreen), Mark Lesage (Rosa), David Lesage (SueAnn), and Mary Anne Tursi and grandmother of Dina (Mike) Natalino, Jaclyn (Rafe) Klein, Mark and Christian Lesage, Teresa Tursi Tefft (Jeremy), and the late Joseph Tursi. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren. She has been blessed by the love of many nieces and nephews, both near and far. She was predeceased by her siblings Raffaela Laudano, Carmela Parillo, Josephine Teodoro, Nicholas Pino, Caroline DeFrancesco, Anna “Nan” Meyer, and Leon Pino.
The visiting hours were on Jan. 24 at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Barnabas Church, North Haven. Interment was private.
