01/03/2022 11:00 PMKevin E. Mulligan, 67, of North Haven passed away unexpectedly at home on Dec. 28, 2021. Born in New Haven July 31, 1954, he was the son of the late Richard R. Mulligan, Sr., and Anna Traub Mulligan.
A graduate of North Haven High School, Kevin was a master mechanic for many years at Merola Motors, North Haven until his retirement. There was nothing on wheels he couldn’t fix. After his retirement, he could be found driving around visiting his many lifelong friends and cherished family including many cousins or relaxing at home watching classic movies. He was an avid boater and former member of The Racquet Club Pier 66 of Branford.
Kevin was predeceased by his brother Richard Mulligan, Jr., and his sister Diane Van Wart. He leaves behind his beloved sister and sidekick Sue Ann Mulligan Ney; brother-in law Henry Van Wart; sister-in law MaryJane Mulligan; and former brother-in-law Kenneth Ney, Sr. He was treasured uncle to Heather Allen (Devin), Candice Ney, Kristin Gage (Michael), Kenneth Ney, Jr., Nicole Lambert (Frank), Richard Mulligan III (Ellie,) and Shawn Mulligan. He also leaves behind Jordan Prince (Heather), who was like a son to him, and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
The visiting hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 4, at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. Family and friends are invited to go directly to St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Barnabas Church, 44 Washington Avenue, North Haven at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5, to attend a Mass of Christian burial and are also invited to attend the committal service immediately following in All Saints Cemetery.
