North Branford

After a long battle with Alzheimer’s, Beatrice “Bea” Celmer, 91, of North Branford passed away peacefully at home on Oct. 3 with her family by her side. Bea was born in New Haven to the late Guy and Margaret Rollins.

Bea was a devoted and loving mother to Patricia Ferraiolo, Elaine Trotta (Carmine), Linda Abbenante (Bob), and Brian Celmer (Mary). She was also Nanny to six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Bea was predeceased by her husband Walter Celmer and her son-in-law Frank Ferraiolo.

Bea proudly worked at HarcoSemco in Branford for 57 years. Bea loved her family, which, over the years, included many beloved pets, and she could order an Irish coffee like no one else!

Bea’s family would like to thank her personal caregivers throughout the years for their love and compassion.

A graveside service and burial will be held Friday, Oct. 8, at All Saints Cemetery in North Haven. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Orchard House, 421 Shore Drive, Branford CT, 06405. For her online memorial and guestbook, see www.wsclancy.com.
