Vincent “Red” Luce Porpora, 83, formerly of Guilford passed away on Aug. 22, after a valiant fight for life at his home in West Palm Beach, Florida. Vincent was born April 1, 1938, in Minori, Italia to Michelle Porpora and Anna Maria Apicela.

He was predeceased by his wife, Pauline (Melillo), to whom he was devoted. He is survived by his two daughters, Linda (Martin) Beauvais, their three children Darrell, Drew ( his amazing healthcare provider) and Erin, Alicia (Thomas) Colcord and their two children, Ezra and Luce, all of whom he loved deeply and was so proud of. He leaves his adoring brother, Anthony Porpora, and sister, Rita Giannotti and his special long-time companion, Janice Schneider. He leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews.

Vincent epitomized giving whether it was to his family, friends, or through volunteering. He was a member of the Guilford Lion’s Club, former president of the St. Trofimena Society (New Haven) and member of the Sons of Italy Society (West Palm Beach chapter).
