Richard A. Seaman, resident of Chester for 47 years, passed away at home at the age of 78 on Aug. 17, after a hard-fought battle with amyloid cardiomyopathy.
Rick was born in the Bronx, New York, and graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School, Brooklyn, before serving in the Navy as a hospital corpsman. He retired from Lee Company, Westbrook. Rick was a member of Knights of Columbus of St. Joseph’s Church in Chester. He went to his first New York Yankees baseball game at the age of 6 and remained a lifelong fan.
Rick is survived by his wife of 51 years, Carol Anne; his son Sean (Lori); and grandchildren Thomas, Tess, Matthew, and Frannie.
The family would like to extend sincere gratitude to the nurses and aides of the Middlesex Health Hospice Program.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 26, at St. Joseph’s Church, 48 Middlesex Avenue in Chester.
